Little Rock, Arkansas Land Use & Zoning, Municipal Law, and Real Estate Attorney

Attorney Stephen R. Giles, P.A. is one of Arkansas' top authorities on municipal law, land use and zoning, and real estate law, with thirty years of experience as a Little Rock deputy city attorney and private practitioner. Eighty percent of his clients are referrals from other lawyers and businesses. Our law office also has been hired by some of the world's largest retailers to facilitate Arkansas land use permits, zoning and site plan development approvals, and also oversee the selling or leasing of previous stores.

Attorney Giles has drafted numerous ordinances for municipalities pertaining to commercial and residential zoning, and worked extensively with public and private companies on planned use developments (PUDs), conditional and special use permits, entitlements, utility easements, landscaping, ingress and egress, traffic planning, rights of way, and subdivisions, to name a few. He has litigated on behalf of clients opposed to certain development approvals, as well as working with the Little Rock Board of Directors, Little Rock Planning Commission and other municipal entities to create effective municipal law, land use & zoning guidelines, and real estate laws. Our practice areas are:

Municipal Law

Land Use and Zoning

Real Estate Law

Though Stephen is principally a transactional attorney and negotiator, he is also an accomplished trial lawyer who is not afraid to challenge large litigation firms, if necessary. We have assisted a wide variety of clients with all types of municipal law, land use and zoning, and real estate related needs throughout metropolitan Little Rock and statewide, including the communities of Benton, Conway, Pine Bluff, North Little Rock, Bryant, Sherwood, Eureka Springs, Fort Smith, Fayetteville and Russellville.

Commercial land use and large-scale real estate development is particularly complex and an ever-changing legal subject about which many attorneys have little familiarity. Yet, because commercial projects generally have strict timetables and involve significant utility resources and capital investments, they require some of the most critical and scrupulous legal analysis and foresight available.

If you have a problem in this area, or have any other Arkansas municipal law, land use & zoning, or real estate related need or concern, contact attorney Giles for an initial consultation. We offer competitive fee plans, after-hours service by appointment, and a convenient downtown Little Rock location.
